The team at Success Equestrian has invested hours in collecting feedback, measuring, testing and building our latest product.
I’m very excited to share with you the details, as well as my experience in riding in the pad for the first time.

The Deluxe Dressage Friction Free Pad incorporates a super soft fabric that lines the underside of the saddle pad.
This allows for a friction free contact with your horse’s back.

The 1.5 cm open cell foam in the seat allows the pad to breathe, while providing a shock absorbing system keeping your horse happy and comfortable.

Like all of our no-slip saddle pads, this pad has a fully contoured top line, which allows maximum comfort and freedom for your horse. (After all, we all know what a grumpy and uncomfortable horse means for our rides!)

Finding the right saddle pad fit.
I work closely with the design team here at Success Equestrian and was very excited to have the opportunity to test the product myself.
I recently tried this pad on my preliminary event horse, “Rollo,” who is a very athletic and forward thinking horse with lots of power and intensity. With all of that energy and athleticism comes sensitivity and over reactions at times. While I adore my little powerhouse Connemara Cross, he can be very sensitive to certain saddle pads. This means any friction under the pad, particularly during the colder months, can make for some interesting rides.
Rollo has also been full body clipped and I have noticed he can be even more sensitive when it comes to correct saddle and saddle pad fit.
He doesn’t do anything horrible, but I can feel more tension under the saddle when the pad isn’t just perfect.
When my saddle and pad fit perfectly, Rollo is super easy going and happy.
My experience in trialing the Friction Free Saddle Pad.
After trialing this brand new Deluxe Dressage Friction Free Saddle Pad, my rides have improved dramatically.
Rollo is comfortable and therefore happy! He can relax into his work and not get tight if my saddle pad is rubbing what little hair he has the wrong way. This saddle pad has just the right amount of extra cushion under the saddle, without feeling too bulky.
This new Friction Free Pad not only works wonders on sensitive, or clipped horses, but the actual pad is incredible classic and elegant, like the other pads in the Success Equestrian line.
I found that the saddle pad also keeps everything nicely in place. My saddle and the saddle pad do not slip, which is extremely important for keeping Rollo happy.
